Contify enables seamless collaboration on newsletters through sharing, commenting, and ownership management features. Newsletter owners can share newsletters with other account members for feedback and collaborative review, while maintaining full control over the distribution and final publication.
How to share a newsletter:
Step 1: Locate the newsletter draft you want to share and click on the 'Share' icon under the "Actions" column.
Step 2: In the share modal, enter the email address of the users from your account with whom you want to share the newsletter. You can add multiple collaborators/commenters.
Step 3: Click 'Share' to grant access. The selected users will receive a notification that a newsletter has been shared with them.
How to comment on a shared newsletter:
Step 1: The newsletters shared with you will have a "shared" label attached to their name. Open the shared newsletter from drafts or the notification email.
Step 2: Navigate to the specific update or section within the newsletter that you want to comment on.
Step 3: Click the Comment icon to open the comment box. Type your feedback or suggestion and click on post icon. The comment will be added and the newsletter owner will receive an email notification immediately.
Important: Commenting Permissions
Only users with whom the newsletter has been shared can comment
Commenters can only add feedback and suggestions—they cannot edit or modify the newsletter content
Multiple team members can comment on the same newsletter
Each comment is tracked individually and can be resolved separately
How to respond to and resolve comments:
Step 1: When a comment is posted, you will receive an email notification. Click the link in the email to access the newsletter and the specific comment.
Step 2: Review the comment and any feedback provided by the collaborator/commenter.
Step 3: Make the necessary edits or updates to your newsletter based on the comment (if needed).
Step 4: Once you have addressed the comment, click Resolve icon.
Step 5: A notification will automatically be sent to the commenter informing them that their feedback has been addressed.

How to transfer ownership to another user:
Step 1: Click on the initials of the user with whom you have shared the newsletter.
Step 2: A modal will be opened. Click on "Shared" under the actions column for the chosen user. Select the "Make Owner" to transfer ownership of newsletter to that user.
Step 4: Click 'Transfer Ownership' to confirm. The new owner will receive a notification of the ownership change.

After transferring ownership:
The new user becomes the sole owner of the newsletter
The new owner has full permissions to edit, modify, and send the newsletter
The previous owner loses all editing permissions and cannot make any changes
Only the current owner can perform ownership transfer

Once ownership is transferred, it cannot be reversed without the new owner's consent

Q: Can I share a newsletter with someone outside my account?
