Overview of the New Dashboard Experience

Written by Contify Team

Contify’s Dashboard experience has been redesigned to help you monitor intelligence more efficiently, create dashboards faster, and collaborate more seamlessly across teams.

The new dashboard brings a cleaner interface, improved navigation, preview-led widget creation, and enhanced sharing controls—making it easier to build dashboards that surface the intelligence most relevant to your business.

You can continue accessing dashboards from the Dashboard module in the top navigation bar, using the same URL and workflow as before.

What’s New in the Dashboard Experience

A New Dashboard Listing Experience

The dashboard landing page has been redesigned to help you quickly access and manage dashboards.

You can now:

  • View dashboards in List View or Grid View

  • Access a Recently Viewed section for quicker navigation

  • Search and navigate dashboards more efficiently

  • Manage dashboards from a single consolidated page

This makes it easier to locate frequently used dashboards and organize your work.

Groups (Previously Called Workspaces)

What was previously referred to as Workspaces is now labeled as Groups.

This is a terminology update only—the functionality remains the same.

Groups help you organize related dashboards into logical collections based on teams, business units, competitors, themes, or workflows.

Examples:

  • Product Intelligence

  • Competitor Tracking

  • Executive Briefings

  • Market Monitoring

Collapsible Navigation for More Workspace

The dashboard now includes a collapsible navigation panel, allowing you to expand your working area when reviewing data-heavy dashboards.

This gives more screen space for widgets and improves readability, especially for dashboards with multiple sections and visualizations.

Preview-Led Widget Creation

Creating widgets is now significantly more intuitive.

Before adding a widget to the dashboard, you can now preview the actual widget content and layout.

This helps you:

  • Validate whether the selected data is relevant

  • Review how the widget will appear on the dashboard

  • Adjust configurations before adding it

  • Reduce trial-and-error while building dashboards

Whether you are creating a widget from a saved search, template, facts, insights, or uploaded data, you can review the output before finalizing it.

Additionally, widget creation now includes predefined sizing options, such as:

  • Full Width

  • ¾ Width

  • ⅔ Width

  • ½ Width

  • ⅓ Width

  • ¼ Width

This gives you greater flexibility when designing dashboard layouts.

Dedicated Template Management

Templates are now easier to manage through a dedicated template management page.

You can:

  • Browse Contify standard templates

  • Create and manage custom templates

  • Reuse templates across dashboards

  • Maintain consistency in dashboard structure and reporting

This simplifies dashboard setup and reduces repetitive configuration.

Faster Dashboard Creation Using Templates

Creating dashboards is now more streamlined.

Instead of starting from scratch, users can quickly create dashboards using predefined templates, helping teams standardize layouts and accelerate dashboard setup.

This is especially useful for:

  • Competitive intelligence monitoring

  • Executive dashboards

  • Market tracking

  • Account monitoring workflows

Improved Sharing & Collaboration

Dashboard sharing has been redesigned to provide a cleaner and more intuitive experience.

You can now:

  • Share dashboards with specific users or groups

  • Assign Viewer or Editor permissions

  • Easily modify or revoke access

  • Notify users via email while sharing

This makes collaboration across teams faster and more controlled.

Consistent Widget Design

Widgets now follow a more consistent visual structure.

Improvements include:

  • Standardized widget headers

  • Consistent iconography

  • Cleaner titles and layouts

  • Improved readability across widget types

This creates a more unified dashboard experience and makes information easier to scan.

Accessing the Dashboard

You can access the new dashboard experience directly from the Dashboard module in the top navigation bar.

  1. Click Dashboard from the navigation menu

  2. Open an existing dashboard or create a new one

  3. Start building widgets, organizing groups, or sharing dashboards with your team

Dashboard access continues through the same URL:
