Insights
Create custom insight templates faster with AI
Creating a custom insight template no longer requires writing detailed prompts from scratch.
You can now simply describe the business question or outcome you're looking for, and Contify's AI will automatically generate a meaningful template name, problem statement, and insight generation prompt for you. This makes it much easier to create high-quality templates.
When you create a new template, you'll have two options:
Generate with AI – Describe what you want, and AI will generate the template for you.
Create Manually – Continue with the existing manual setup experience.
After AI generates the template, you remain in complete control. You can edit any field, refine your requirements, or regenerate the template name and prompt whenever needed. The same AI-assisted editing experience is also available for existing templates, allowing you to improve them over time without rebuilding them from scratch.
Why it matters
Create custom insight templates in seconds with natural language.
Eliminate the need to manually write complex AI prompts.
Easily refine or regenerate templates as your requirements evolve.
Continue using the manual creation flow whenever you prefer.
Build more consistent, high-quality templates with significantly less effort.
Dashboard
Create Company-Specific Dashboards in Minutes
Recreating the same dashboard for multiple companies no longer requires updating each widget one by one.
With the new Copy Dashboard experience, you can duplicate an existing dashboard and automatically remap its company-specific widgets to another monitored company during the copy process. Whether the dashboard was built from scratch or created from a template, the same streamlined workflow applies.
What's new?
When you choose Copy Dashboard, you'll be able to:
Rename the copied dashboard before it's created.
Choose the dashboard group where the copy should be saved.
Review every company referenced across the dashboard's company-based widgets.
Replace any company with another monitored company—or keep the existing mapping.
Create a fully functional dashboard copy with all selected company mappings applied automatically.
If multiple widgets reference the same company, you only need to update the company once. The change is automatically applied across all relevant widgets in the copied dashboard.
Preserve your dashboard design
While company references are updated, everything else stays the same.
Your copied dashboard retains:
Widget layouts
Filters and configurations
Dashboard structure
Visualizations
Widget settings
Only the selected company references are replaced.
Shared dashboards can now become your own
You can also copy dashboards that have been shared with you.
The copied dashboard becomes:
Your own private dashboard
Owned entirely by you
Saved to the dashboard group you select
Fully editable with your own permissions
This makes it easy to build on existing dashboards without affecting the original version.
Saved search widgets remain unchanged
If your dashboard contains widgets powered by saved searches, those widgets are copied without modification. You'll see a reminder during the copy process so you can review and update those saved searches later if needed.
Why it matters
Create company-specific dashboards in a fraction of the time.
Eliminate repetitive widget-by-widget reconfiguration.
Maintain consistent dashboard layouts across multiple companies.
Reuse dashboards shared by teammates while keeping your own independent copy.
Scale monitoring workflows more efficiently as your list of tracked companies grows.
This enhancement makes dashboard reuse faster, more consistent, and significantly easier—allowing you to focus on analyzing intelligence instead of rebuilding dashboards.

Newsletter
Build Newsletters Faster with Auto-Populated Updates
You can now connect Saved Searches to newsletter templates and automatically populate newsletter sections with relevant updates. This helps reduce manual effort, improves consistency, and ensures newsletters are built from the most relevant content available.
What's new?
When creating a newsletter from a template that has saved searches configured, Contify will automatically fetch matching updates for each section and subsection based on your selected date range.
Before content is added, you'll be able to review all fetched updates, choose which stories to include, and then populate the newsletter with a single click.
Key capabilities
Automatically populate newsletter sections using template-level saved searches.
Select a date range to fetch updates based on either the published date or the ones on which they were added to Contify.
Review all fetched updates before adding them to the newsletter.
Select or deselect individual updates as needed.
Preview update summaries directly from the review screen.
Use section-level Select All and Clear options for faster curation.
Continue adding updates manually alongside auto-populated content.
Keep newsletters up to date with Refresh Updates
Each saved-search-powered section now includes a Refresh Updates option.
When new updates become available, you can refresh a specific section and review only the newly matched updates. Previously reviewed or added stories are automatically excluded, ensuring there are no duplicate entries.
Manually added updates are not removed during a refresh.
Additional improvements
Newsletter sending options have been moved to the right-side panel for a more consistent editing experience.
Template Type is now visible and can be updated directly within the newsletter editor.
Saved search names automatically update across newsletters if they are renamed.
Safeguards have been added to prevent invalid configurations and provide clear guidance when no matching updates are found.
Why it matters
Spend less time searching for content and more time refining newsletters.
Ensure consistent newsletter coverage across recurring publications.
Quickly refresh newsletters with the latest updates without starting over.
Maintain complete editorial control while benefiting from automation.
Reduce the risk of missing important updates that match your monitoring criteria.
This enhancement streamlines newsletter creation while preserving the flexibility analysts need to deliver high-quality, curated communications.
Configure Once, Create Faster: Newsletter Settings Now Live at the Template Level
Creating newsletters should be about refining content—not repeatedly configuring the same settings every time you start a new newsletter.
To make newsletter creation faster and more efficient, we've moved several newsletter configuration options that were previously managed at the individual newsletter level into the template creation and editing experience.
What's changed?
Settings that were previously configured each time a newsletter was created can now be defined directly within the newsletter template. Once configured, those settings are automatically applied whenever a new newsletter is created from that template.
Instead of repeating the same setup steps for every newsletter, you can now establish your preferred configuration once and reuse it consistently across all future newsletters generated from the template.
Why this matters
Many users create recurring newsletters that follow the same structure, formatting, and distribution requirements. Re-entering the same settings for every edition adds unnecessary effort, increases the chances of inconsistencies, and slows down the newsletter creation process.
By moving these configurations to the template level, we're helping you:
Spend less time on repetitive setup tasks.
Create newsletters faster with fewer clicks.
Maintain consistency across recurring newsletters.
Reduce the risk of configuration errors and missed settings.
Focus more on reviewing and curating content rather than administrative setup.
Where to find it
You can now manage these settings while creating or editing a newsletter template. Any newsletters created from that template will automatically inherit the configured properties.
What this means for your workflow
Templates now serve as the true source of configuration for recurring newsletters. Once your template is set up, creating a new newsletter becomes a much lighter process—allowing you to move directly into content review and publishing without repeatedly configuring the same options.
This change is part of our ongoing effort to make newsletter creation more scalable, consistent, and efficient for teams that regularly publish curated intelligence to their stakeholders.

Companies
Track Companies More Comprehensively with Related URLs
We've redesigned the company tracking experience to give you greater control over how companies are tracked and how relevant updates are captured.
What's new?
When adding a company to monitor, you'll now see all related URLs available in Contify's database. These URLs are selected by default, helping ensure that updates published across different company websites, regional entities, brands, or related web properties are included in your monitoring setup.
You can:
Review all related URLs associated with a company.
Remove specific URLs if you don't want updates from those sources included for your account.
Request new URLs that are not currently available in Contify's system.
Configure the publishing mode for updates collected for that company.
Apply advanced filters to further refine monitoring.
Define archival date ranges during company setup.
Where to find it
Navigate to the “Companies” module and select the list to which you want to add a company. Click on “Add company to monitor” and type the name of the company.
After selecting a company, you'll be guided through the enhanced setup flow where related URLs and monitoring preferences can be configured.
Why it matters
Capture updates from all relevant company web properties without manually monitoring multiple entities.
Reduce the need to create separate monitored companies for related brands, divisions, or regional websites.
Ensure dashboards, alerts, facts, insights, and newsletters automatically include updates from all selected related URLs.
Gain more control over which sources contribute content to your monitoring program.
Simplify company management while improving coverage and relevance of intelligence.
Additional improvements
Related URLs can be added or removed at any time based on your monitoring needs.
If a required URL is not available in Contify, you can submit a request directly from the workflow.
Changing the selected company during setup will restart the configuration process to ensure monitoring settings remain accurate and consistent.
This enhancement helps you build a more complete view of the companies you monitor while keeping configuration simple and flexible.

Facts
Smarter Fact Merging for Cleaner, More Accurate Intelligence
Contify now helps prevent duplicate facts by identifying similar facts during manual fact creation. When a newly generated fact closely matches an existing one, users are guided through a review and merge workflow instead of creating another duplicate entry.
Users can compare information across the new and existing facts, choose the most accurate value for each field, and merge them into a single consolidated fact. The merged fact can include references from multiple updates, ensuring valuable context is preserved while eliminating redundant records.
This enhancement improves the quality and consistency of facts across the platform, helping users maintain a cleaner knowledge base and ensuring dashboards, newsletters, insights, company profiles, and other downstream experiences always reference the most accurate version of a fact.

What’s New
Streamlined Taxonomy Structure
The taxonomy has been reorganized and renamed to create a more intuitive and consistent structure across the platform. Categories are now grouped logically under key sections such as:

Signals (Sentiment, Ratings)
Consistent Experience Across the Platform
The updated taxonomy structure is now reflected everywhere it is used, including:
Newsfeed filters
Dashboards and visualizations

Search and configuration views
Quick Identification with Category Initials
Each filter category now includes short initials (e.g., MC for My Company, CP for Competitors, IN for Industries), helping users quickly identify and navigate filters—especially in dense views.

AI-Powered Sourcing Now Available in Contify
Contify is expanding the way your intelligence coverage is built. In addition to your existing integrated sources, you can now leverage AI-powered sourcing to automatically discover relevant business updates.
Your Contify Analysts can configure AI sourcing prompts that continuously scan for updates aligned with your use case helping you capture updates that may not surface through traditional source feeds alone.
Contify now supports AI-driven news sourcing, where custom prompts are used to identify and fetch relevant updates at regular intervals. These updates flow directly into your existing Curated Newsfeed and follow the same quality checks as all other content.
Depending on your workflow, sourced updates can be:
Auto-published directly to your newsfeed, or
Sent for manual analyst review before publishing
This adds an intelligent discovery layer on top of your current sources — without changing how you consume insights.
How This Adds Value for You
Broader coverage beyond fixed sources
Faster discovery of niche or emerging developments
Reduced risk of missing important updates
More tailored intelligence, aligned with your business priorities
All AI-sourced updates pass through Contify’s standard enrichment pipeline, including deduplication, tagging, and quality checks.

Reach out to your Contify analyst
They can configure custom AI sourcing prompts based on:
Your industry focus
Competitors and partners
Key themes, markets, or technologies you track

Curated Newsfeed
AI Tagging for Manually Added Updates
Contify’s AI-powered tagging is now extended to updates added manually to the Curated Newsfeed. Previously, AI tagging was primarily applied to automatically ingested content. With this enhancement, even updates you add via URL or manual entry are now analyzed and tagged using Contify’s LLM.
This ensures every update regardless of how it enters the platform benefits from consistent, accurate, and context-aware tagging. You still have full flexibility to manually add, edit, or remove tags to better match your business context.
Where to Find It

Companies (Mention): For updates where a tracked company is referenced but is not the main focus — helping to reduce noise in the feed.

Products and Services: Detects and tags newly launched products or services by companies, helping users track offerings relevant to their business.

Newsfeed
Enhanced Deduplication of Updates
Where to Find It:
In your Newsfeed.
What’s New
Contify’s deduplication capability has been enhanced to provide a cleaner and more accurate newsfeed. The system now uses a more advanced approach that evaluates the meaning and context of each story, rather than relying solely on traditional surface-level text comparisons.
Previously, duplicates were detected through hashing vector comparisons of story titles and bodies. While effective to an extent, this method worked at a word level and often struggled to capture the semantic similarities between stories. As a result, some near-identical updates were occasionally flagged as unique, leading to duplicate disputes.
With the new enhancement, duplicates are now identified through context-aware (semantic) comparisons of stories. This means the system can capture the true essence of an update, even when different outlets use varied wording to describe the same news. In addition, deduplication now runs every hour instead of every three, delivering a 3x faster cleanup of duplicates.
This upgrade allows Contify to deliver:
Smarter clustering of duplicate or near-duplicate updates.
Reduced noise in your feed with fewer repetitive stories.
Improved accuracy in highlighting the most authoritative version of a story.
Faster deduplication cycles, ensuring cleaner feeds in near real time.
This enhancement is being rolled out gradually and will be available to select customers first.

Automated Insights
What’s New?
Contify now supports automated updates for Insight responses (formerly known as KIQs). With this update, insights linked to company dashboards and profiles are automatically refreshed whenever new, relevant facts are created—no manual input needed.
How It Works
When a new fact is generated from a story, the platform checks if it matches any Insight template with auto-update enabled and relevant company.
If it matches with an existing insight it is automatically updated to reflect the latest development. Else a new insight is created for the corresponding auto-updated template.
Users will see an “Auto-updated” icon and an updated timestamp.
Every update is logged, so you can view what was changed and when.
Insight templates: Contify vs Custom
Contify offers two types of Insight templates:
Contify templates are ready-to-use templates that cover common business intelligence themes. These are set to auto-update by default to reduce user effort.
Custom templates allow you to create your own insight questions tailored to your needs. When setting them up, you can choose whether or not to enable auto-update.
What If Auto-Update is Off?
If auto-update is disabled:
You’ll see a notification at insight level when new relevant facts are available.
You can manually review and choose which facts to include.
A new response is generated, which you can edit and approve before saving.
These feature reduces manual tracking and ensures your insights remain timely, complete, and decision-ready.
For Insight templates not set to auto-update, the mini Insight card will display a “New facts available” label, allowing you to manually update the existing Insight. Just select the facts and click on “Regenerate Insight”.
Viewing & Managing Updates
Visit the Insights Manager to view all your templates.
Use the toggle in each row to enable or disable auto-updates.
To review changes, open any Insight and click on “Version History” to track edits and updates.
Auto-updating Insights can also be manually updated for greater control by adding a reference. This can be done by clicking on “Add Reference” under the Insight card.
Ask Athena
Inline citation with the response
With this release, responses generated by Ask Athena now include inline citations, bringing more transparency and trust to the insights you receive. Each part of a response is now linked to its specific source—just click on a citation to view the original content instantly.
This enhancement makes it easier to verify facts, explore source context, and confidently act on the information provided by Athena.
Newsfeed
Type of content in newscard with source
Contify’s newscards now display the type of content alongside the source, making it easier to identify the nature of the update at a glance.

Ask Athena
Agentic workflows in Ask Athena:
We’re excited to roll out a major upgrade to the Ask Athena module with the introduction of Agentic Workflows, a powerful enhancement designed to significantly improve the accuracy, relevance, and contextuality of responses.
This update leverages AI agents operating as an intelligent layer on top of LLM to deliver more refined answers tailored to business and competitive intelligence needs.
What’s New:
Agent 1 – Business Relevance query validation:
This agent evaluates whether the user query is relevant to market and competitive intelligence. If the query falls outside the defined scope, the user is prompted to rephrase with a more focused question.
Agent 2 – Metadata Extraction:
If the query is approved by Agent 1, Agent 2 extracts relevant metadata from the query to frame the most precise response by leveraging Contify’s structured data as well as applicable web sources.
Agent 3 – Contextual Web Search:
Activated only after Agents 1 and 2 approve the query, Agent 3 performs a real-time web search using the extracted metadata to fetch reliable and current insights, ensuring up-to-date answers.
Regardless of the selected focus area—Facts & Insights, Curated Newsfeed, or Attachments—Web Search will always be incorporated in the response generation process to provide latest contextual information.
