Overview
The Contify’s home page will be the landing page that all users will see after they log in to the platform. The home page serves to the following purpose:
Overview of everything available on the platform
Easy navigation to platform modules and workflows
User types
The Contify home page will serve two types of users which are as follows:
Admins (Platform admins as displayed on User Management page): These users will be able to see all the tiles available in the home page by default. They will decide which tiles will be visible to the platform users. The approach to do that is described in the “controlling visibility” section of this document.
Platform users: These users will be able to see only the tiles made available to them by the admin users. These users can also customize their home page according to their needs and preferences. This process is explained in the “controlling visibility” section of this document.
Tiles of the home page
Tiles of Contify home page are essentially the aspects of the Contify platform with which a user can interact. The tiles will be updated according to the activity in the user account. Some tiles will show updates of all users of a particular account and some tiles are user specific e.g. “Key updates” tile will show all the key updates marked by all users of an account but “Bookmarks” tile will only show stories bookmarked by an individual user.
Drag and Drop
The users can drag and drop a tile in the home page at a place that they desire. This position of that tile will be changed only for that user.
Resizing tiles
The height of the tiles can be changed by clicking on the bottom edge of a tile and dragging it to the desired height. Tiles of the home page will have a fixed width. The position of other tiles will change according to changes in tile height made by the user.
Copilot in the home page
Copilot can be accessed by the users straight from the home page. The copilot query bar is available at the top of the tile grid. Users can type in their query and get the results in the home page itself.
NOTE: The Copilot query bar will be available only for those accounts which have access to Insights.
Controlling visibility of tiles
For admin users
Admin users will have access to all the tiles set by Contify. They can control the visibility of a tile for all the users of that account by clicking on the option in the bottom of a tile and selecting the “Visible to Admins only”. This will hide the affected tile from the view of the users.
For platform users
The platform users can see all the tiles to which the admin has provided them the visibility. The users can decide which tiles they want to view out of the provided ones by clicking on the gear icon at the top right and disabling the tile that they don’t want to see. Enabling the tile from this list will make it reappear at the end of the grid.
